Here's what we usually get asked
Watch the video, answer a few quick questions about what you're trying to achieve, then book a call. On the call, we'll look at your training, recovery, schedule and what's actually getting in the way of your progress. From there, we'll work out whether coaching with us is the right fit for you.
No cookie cutter program, No guessing And no handing you a program before we've even spoken.
That doesn't automatically mean you have to stop training.
If you're dealing with an injury or pain that's affecting your training, we'll look at what you're currently able to do, what aggravates it, and how we can structure your training around it. The goal is to keep you moving and progressing where possible, while being smart about your training and working within any guidance you've been given by your physio, doctor or other health professional. You don't have to choose between doing nothing and pushing through pain.
Not at all. I work with clients from 13 years old through to their 70s, and the goal isn't to make everyone train the same way. Your training should match your age, experience, goals, lifestyle and current ability. A 13 year old starting strength training has very different needs to someone in their 40s looking to get stronger, or someone in their 70s wanting to maintain strength, mobility and independence. that's why I don't believe in a one size fits all approach.
Because this isn't about giving you a program, showing you a few exercises, and sending you on your way. The training is built around you your goals, experience, schedule, strengths, weaknesses and what you're actually trying to achieve. We track your progress, make adjustments when things aren't working, and change the plan when your circumstances change. You're not expected to blindly follow a program and hope it works. The goal isn't to have you motivated for a few weeks.
It's to build a way of training that you can stick to, progress with, and actually get results from.
Both. Kaiju Performance offers in person and online coaching. If you're training with me in person, you get hands on coaching, technique feedback and real time adjustments. If you're online, you still get structured programming, coaching, progression and accountability without needing to train in the same location as me. The right option depends on your goals, circumstances and how you prefer to train.
Absolutely. Your training needs to fit around your life not the other way around. If you're working shifts, travelling, working long hours, or your schedule changes week to week, we can build your training around the time and resources you actually have available. The goal isn't to expect you to have a perfect schedule. It's to build a training plan that still works when your schedule isn't perfect.
Because you're not just buying another program. An app can give you exercises. A PDF can give you sets and reps. Neither knows why you stopped, what needs changing, or what you need to do next. With coaching, there is someone looking at your training, your progress and your circumstances. If something isn't working, we address it. If your schedule changes, we adapt. If your technique needs work, we address it. If you're progressing, we continue to build on it. The aim is to take the guesswork out of training and give you the support and accountability to actually follow through. You don't need another program you'll abandon. You need a process you can stay engaged with.
No. Not at all. You don't need to have any interest in competing to work with me competition is just one area of training that I have experience in. I've competed nationally myself and coached clients through national competitions, international qualification and record breaking performances but that doesn't mean every client needs to compete. If your goal is to build muscle, improve your technique, feel better, become more confident, or simply train consistently, the coaching is built around what you want to achieve. You don't have to train like a competitor to benefit from high level coaching. Your goals are your goals. My job is to help you achieve them.
Certificate III and Certificate IV in Fitness, as well as a current WWCC (Working With Children Check). I've also competed nationally 4 times and have hands on competition handling and coaching experience. Through Kaiju Performance, I've coached clients who have gone on to compete nationally, qualify for international competitions/IPF Worlds, and break national records.
